I've received some really exciting news in the past few months. I just got word today that my proposal has been accepted for presentation to the Technology not Technicians: Integrating New Media with Art and Design session for the 2012 SECAC Conference meeting in Durham NC, October 17-20, 2012. I'm looking forward to this event and a chance to create new professional friendships.

Last month I was honored to win an award in a campus wide competition at East Carolina University sponsored by the Graduate School. The official award:
Research and Creative Activity Award Winner
Best Graduate Oral Presentation in the Visual Art & Design Category

Sept. 9th 2011 - My self portrait has been juried into the NC Museum of art exhibition: Self, Observed. This is a collegiate exhibition that will coincide with the upcoming Rembrandt exhibition.
